Two men were found guilty Monday in the 2012 shooting death of a Braddock Hills man.
Quintelle Rankin, 22, of the Hill District was found guilty of second-degree murder, and Eugene McCarthy, 24, of Clairton was found guilty of third-degree murder.
The men were charged in the shooting death of Brandon Johns, 18, of Brinton Manor. He was shot seven times during a failed drug deal, according to Dan Fitzsimmons, Allegheny County chief trial deputy district attorney.
Both men will be sentenced Nov. 14 by Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Anthony M. Mariani.
Mr. Rankin faces a mandatory sentence of life without parole for second-degree murder. He also was convicted of robbery, conspiracy and a firearms count.
Mr. McCarthy does not face a mandatory prison term on the third-degree murder conviction, but he likely faces 40 to 80 years, having also been convicted of robbery and conspiracy.
