An Indiana County toddler is in Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC with life-threatening injuries in what investigators suspect is a case of child abuse, according to KDKA.
A 911 call early Friday morning reported that the 20-month-old boy, who has not been identified, was not breathing. When he arrived at the hospital, he had injuries to his head and torso, according to KDKA.
Investigators served a search warrant Friday afternoon at his home at the Chestnut Ridge public housing complex in Burrell, near Blairsville.
The child was reportedly at home with his stepfather and his grandmother at the time of the 911 call, according to KDKA. His mother is in the hospital after having another baby.
