Police seized several million dollars worth of cocaine and arrested three people tonight in a crackdown on narcotics activity in Monroeville hotels, the Allegheny County District Attorney's office announced.
Police followed a man, identified as David Chavez Carbajal of Mexico, from the Days Inn Hotel on Mosside Boulevard to the home of William Wilson in Penn Hills. A search of Mr. Wilson's home yielded stolen gun, more than $100,000 in cash and four kilos of cocaine, district attorney spokesman Mike Manko wrote in a news release. Another four kilos of cocaine were found in Mr. Wilson's vehicle.
Police also searched a vehicle parked near the home that belongs to Leland Cobb of Homewood, Mr. Manko said.
Mr. Cobb's vehicle was searched after he was "observed leaving [Mr.] Wilson's home carrying a large bag," netting another 13 kilos of cocaine, he said.
All three men have been arrested and will be arraigned tonight, Mr. Manko said.
