Jocelyn Inlay of Lincoln Place, a sophomore at Carlow University, has been selected for the Irish American Scholars program and will spend the next academic year at Queen's University Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Miss Inlay is a double major at Carlow in political science and communications.

The Irish American Scholars program is run by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities. A student must be nominated by their college, maintain a 3.2 GPA, write an essay and have two letters of recommendation.

Joseph Bruno of Bethel Park, who has studied Tang Soo Do in Monroeville since 1975, was selected as a 2013 member of the New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame at the 37th Garden State Martial Arts Tournament.

He studies with Grand Master C.S. Kim in Monroeville and is a seventh-degree black belt.
