Angel Cabrera finished the U.S. Open yesterday with a one-stroke lead, then with the cheers of the crowd ringing in his ears, had to wait in the clubhouse to see if Tiger Woods or Jim Furyk would catch him -- a process that lasted to the last minute of the tournament, when Woods's birdie bid on the final hole coasted wide across Oakmont's notoriously fast greens.

This video follows the Argentinian golfer up No. 18 to the cheers of the crowd and to the awards ceremony, where he surprised photographers with a champagne shower.

Cabrera, who had top 10 finishes in last year's Masters and British Open, was the only golfer to shoot two rounds under par during the tournament. He opened with a 69 on Thursday and finished with a 1-under-par 69 yesterday, for a final score of 5-over-par 285.
