The preliminary hearing for a man accused of robbing three people one night in the South Side was postponed, and Pittsburgh police have filed additional charges against him.
Terrance Ross, 35, of Morgantown remains in the Allegheny County Jail, where he has been held since police arrested him Sept. 14.
Police wrote in a criminal complaint that Mr. Ross threatened his jitney driver paramour and persuaded her to drive him around the South Side the night of Aug. 24 and the early morning of Aug. 25. He would ask her stop, saying he needed to urinate or wanted to grab a drink, and instead robbed people, police wrote.
He faces charges of kidnapping, robbery, aggravated assault and other crimes in connection with that night. Court records show Pittsburgh police obtained a warrant Sept. 19 charging him with an additional two counts of robbery, simple assault and criminal mischief in connection with that night.
