Pittsburgh police are looking for leads on the man who robbed a Bloomfield bank early this afternoon.
A man walked into the PNC Bank in the 4700 block of Liberty Avenue shortly after noon and placed a black zip-up folder on the counter. He then opened the bag, which contained a silver handgun that was pointed at a teller, according to a news release from spokeswoman Diane Richard.
The man told the teller, "Do not press any buttons and give me the money in the top drawer," police said. After the teller handed over some money, the man said, "Now you can press any buttons you want after I leave" and walked out the front door, police said.
Pittsburgh robbery detectives are leading the investigation and are asking anyone with information to call their squad at 412-323-7151.
Police described the suspect as a black man between 30 and 40 years old who wore a dark jacket, yellow baseball hat with a logo on it and dark eye glasses.
"A monetary incentive is available for information on the identity of the actor pictured in the surveillance photo," Ms. Richard wrote.
