A teenager who is also a suspect in two other shootings this month was arraigned Thursday on charges that he opened fire on a Beltzhoover family.
Brandone Johnson, 17, of Carrick was being held in the Allegheny County Jail on $1 million bail.
Officers from the Zone 3 station in Allentown were called to the 500 block of Curtin Avenue about 4:30 p.m. Monday for a report that Brandone opened fire at a family of four, including a 1-month-old, Pittsburgh police wrote in a criminal complaint. No one was injured, but some of the gunfire did strike a car.
Detectives wrote that Brandone, who goes by the nickname Mouse, referenced the shooting on his Facebook page 10 minutes after it was reported.
Brandone, who is charged as an adult, faces charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and other crimes. He is scheduled for a Wednesday preliminary hearing.
