A Knoxville man was arrested this morning on charges he threatened to kill his brother and cut him over a dispute about whether the brother could continue to live with him.
Kwesi Weaver, 25, was being held in the Allegheny County Jail this afternoon on charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threats.
Pittsburgh police wrote in a criminal complaint that they went to the 200 block of Reifert Street this morning for a report that a man, Pernell Deck, had been stabbed.
When they arrived, they found Mr. Deck with cuts on his head and left hand. Mr. Deck told officers his brother, Mr. Weaver, had been paying rent to stay with him but he did not like the living situation so he asked Mr. Weaver to leave at the end of the month.
Mr. Deck, who could not immediately be reached for comment, told police Mr. Weaver began "flipping out" and swung a knife, cutting him several times before Mr. Weaver threatened to kill him and ran away, according to the complaint.
