Two men from Overbrook were held for court today on charges that they opened fire Downtown earlier this month during a fight that left two people -- including one of the alleged gunmen -- wounded.
Hassan Howze, 22, and Antonio Peterson, 24, both of Overbrook, both face charges of aggravated assault, conspiracy, recklessly endangering another person and a firearms violation in connection with the April 5 shooting near the Capital Grille. Mr. Peterson also faces a charge of attempted homicide.
Pittsburgh police said as many as four or five other people were present when a fight broke out and shots were fired. A sergeant from the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office, who happened to be in the area, responded quickly and detained Mr. Howze, Mr. Peterson and a 22-year-old Bellevue man who was shot during the encounter.
