In February, an East Pittsburgh woman crashed her minivan into the father of their three children. Tuesday, the Mount Oliver man died. And today, police charged the woman with homicide in his death.

Damona Anderson, 39, still faces aggravated assault and robbery charges in the crash, but was also charged today with homicide.

Dwan Jones, 41, was attempting to board a bus near the intersection of Frankstown and Paulson avenues on Feb. 7, police said, when a white minivan driven by Ms. Anderson slowly "bumped" Mr. Jones.

After getting into a fight, Ms. Anderson called police, and while waiting for police to arrive, Mr. Jones attempted to board a bus, Ms. Anderson told police. She said she did not want him to flee the area and meant to block him from getting on the bus. While attempting to block his path, she told police she "accidentally" hit Mr. Jones and thought she ran over his leg.

Police said the van then drove from Mr. Jones' groin area to his chest -- stopping when the front, driver's side tire was directly on his chest -- and reversed off him.

Ms. Anderson then took money from Mr. Jones and drove away, only to return about five minutes later, police said.

She told police she took the money because, "Well, I didn't want anybody else to get it so I took it," and fled the area because she was scared.

Ms. Anderson told police, "That's my babies' daddy, I love him, I didn't mean to hurt him, I didn't mean to run him over."

Mr. Jones was taken to the hospital after the crash and remained in medical care until he died Tuesday morning from complications of blunt force trauma to the head, authorities said.
