Pittsburgh police are investigating after two people were shot in Homewood near the CCAC campus tonight.
Major Crimes Lt. Dan Herrmann said two shooting victims showed up at separate hospitals -- one at UPMC Presbyterian and one at UPMC St. Margaret -- and police later located the shooting scene and a gun.
One man had leg injuries. The other was shot behind the ear. The bullet did not penetrate his skull.
Homicide detectives were notified and turned the case back to Zone 5 detectives after learning that both men are expected to survive. Lt. Herrmann said police were still trying to piece together how the shooting occurred and how the two men knew each other.
