Pittsburgh police are investigating multiple shootings Sunday night in Homewood that killed a Penn Hills woman and injured two men.
Officers were called to the 7300 block of Monticello Street about 10:40 p.m. where they found an abandoned vehicle with bullet holes in it and shell casings nearby on the street.
The driver was found a short time later at UMPC Presbyterian Hospital with a gunshot wound to this leg. He condition is listed as stable.
Shortly afterward, a second bullet-riddled vehicle was found in the 7100 block of Monticello Street that had crashed into the rear of a parked vehicle.
Raynna Church, 31, was found dead at the steering wheel. A 34-year-old man was found lying in the street outside of the passenger door with a gunshot wound. He is in critical condition at UPMC Presbyterian.
Police said both vehicles had been stopped in the 7300 block of Monticello Street when they were fired at numerous times. The drivers attempted to drive away and eventually crashed into several parked vehicles.
An autopsy on Ms. Church is scheduled for today.
