The Port Authority said buses that use or cross Smithfield Street, Downtown, may be delayed today because of movie filming.

Spokeswoman Heather Pharo said producers of the Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" are using the center of the street to take footage that will be used later to re-create street scenes. Buses and traffic are not required to detour but the work may cause delays until 3 p.m., she said.

Numerous bus routes use or cross Smithfield.

More restrictions are in store on Thursday when parts of Fourth and Forbes avenues and Cherry Way will be closed for movie production.
