Crash claims 2nd victim
An accident on Maytide Street claimed a second life yesterday when John Tucke of Brookline died in Mercy Hospital, the Allegheny County coroner's office said.
Tucke, 20, was a passenger in a car driven by Samantha A. Musico of the North Side when it crashed Saturday morning along the hilly street that leads from Brownsville Road in Carrick to Route 51 in Overbrook.
Musico, 18, was dead at the scene, while Tucke was hospitalized in critical condition. He died of head injuries.
Authorities said Musico lost control of her car and it went up an embankment and into a stand of trees.
