At the Market Square Farmers Market, you can get your fix of fruits and veggies, pierogies and pastries. And now, you'll be able to add opera to your grocery list.
Resident artists from the Pittsburgh Opera will offer three lunchtime concerts at the farmers market on Thursdays through Oct. 10.
The performances, which will take place between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., will feature opera favorites, including "Habanera" (from Bizet's "Carmen") and "Largo al factotum" (from Rossini's "The Barber of Seville" and made more famous by Bugs Bunny).
The concerts, presented by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, are guaranteed to give you your recommended daily serving of classical music.
