Whether your taste runs toward the traditional acoustic ballads or rowdy drinking songs, there's Irish music to fill your cup and your soul this weekend. Here's a sampling:

Market Square

Saturday: The St. Baldrick's Foundation 11th annual head-shaving fundraiser (10 a.m.-3 p.m.), where participants raise funds in advance and shave their heads for pediatric cancer research. Then, St. Patrick's Eve with Callan (1 p.m.); The Irish Pretenders (3 p.m.); Sean McClorey (10 p.m.); DJ Climax (11 p.m.).

Sunday: Red Hand Paddy (noon); Guaranteed Irish Band (3 p.m.); DJ Climax (7 p.m.). Guest appearances throughout the day by the Conroy & Burke School of Dance.

Correction, posted March 14: This article has been updated to show that Guaranteed Irish is not performing Saturday night at Claddagh Pittsburgh, but is still playing at Mullaney's Harp & Fiddle that night. Irish musicians are remarkable but cannot be expected to play in two places at once.
