The CLO Cabaret puts an exclamation point on relationships with "You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up!," the comedy by Annabelle Gurwitch ("Dinner and a Movie," Fired!) and Jeff Kahn ("The Ben Stiller Show," Forty Year Old Virgin), adapted from their memoir of 13 years of marriage.

The book was developed through sold-out performances at The Comedy Central Theatre and at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, and made its New York premiere at The New York Comedy Festival in 2009.

Pittsburgh CLO produces "You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up!" from Jan. 31 to May 5.

The 75-minute show takes a humorous look at a relationship that seemed doomed by opposing personalities from the start. The couple learns to navigate conflicts that come with romance, money and children by embracing each other's differences, taking on parenting as a competitive sport and dropping out of couple's therapy. Their delightfully crazy lifestyle upends every idea you ever had about living "happily ever after."

Show are 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays (check website for 1 p.m. Thursday matinees with buffet), 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for groups of 10 or more are on sale now by calling 412-325-1582. Single tickets will go on sale Nov. 12: $34.75-$44.75 at CLOCabaret.com or 412-456-6666.
