The cameras have been rolling here for months, thanks to "The Dark Knight Rises" and "One Shot." And they'll be rolling on in 2012.

"Frank or Francis," a comedy starring Nicolas Cage, Steve Carell and Jack Black, is scheduled to begin filming here in January or February. And Variety reports Kevin Kline has also joined the cast.

Screenwriter/director/producer Charlie Kaufman ("Being John Malkovich," "Adaptation" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind") will direct the film.

Calls to producer Anthony Bregman and the Pittsburgh Film Office were not returned.

But Mr. Bregman's production company, Likely Story, filed an application with the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development for a state film tax credit grant of $4 million for "Frank or Francis." It lists Allegheny County as the filming location.

"Frank or Francis" is a satire on the movie business that focuses on the conflict between a blogger/movie critic played by Mr. Black and a filmmaker played by Mr. Carell.
