"The Dark Knight Rises" works on scenes in the Cultural District on Friday, here at Liberty Avenue at Seventh Avenue.

Filming of the Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" shifts to the Penn Avenue area, Downtown, today, according to the Pittsburgh Film Office.

Intermittent closures of Penn between Ninth and 10th streets are possible throughout the day.

Exchange Way from Ninth to 10th streets is closed, as is Garrison Place from Penn to Liberty avenues. Traffic may be halted at times on Liberty at Garrison Place, and pedestrians in the area will continue to face walking detours around the filming.

The restrictions are expected to remain in place until 5 a.m. Saturday. This weekend marks the conclusion of the production's work in Pittsburgh.
