Maglev cost so far
Western Pennsylvania Maglev Development Corp. provided information showing it spent a
total of $466,109.79 from 1992 through Dec. 31, 1998. Its officers estimate that
affiliates in the Pittsburgh low-speed maglev venture contributed in-kind
services valued at about $2.5 million, bringing the total investment so far to about $3
million.
