How public and nonpublic schools did on the SATs

Sunday, November 09, 2003

Both public and nonpublic schools have a wide range of average scores on the SAT college entrance exam taken by members of the Class of 2003 during their high school years. The SAT has two parts - verbal and math - and a score of 200 to 800 points is possible on each. This chart combines the two sections to a possible 400 to 1600 points. It also shows which schools fall above or below national and state averages. The chart covers schools that had at least 10 test-takers. (Nonpublic schools are in bold with a shaded background.)
