Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant will undergo $12 million makeover

Excela Health officials today announced plans to expand and remodel Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant at a cost of $12 million over the next five years.

The first phase will involve a $2 million enhancement of Frick’s emergency department and a $375,000 project to create wound care and sleep centers.

Later phases will include an expanded lobby rotunda, enhanced primary care physician suites and a modernized café, as well as development of a patient-centered medical home design modeled after Excela Square at Norwin that will bring several physician practices together under one roof.
