The Ambrosians of Greensburg, a lay group seeking greater involvement in the appointment of the next Roman Catholic bishop of Greensburg, is hosting speaker Nicholas Cafardi, a Duquesne University law professor and canon lawyer, next Sunday.
Mr. Cafardi is the author of a recent article in U.S. Catholic arguing that it's "time for the flock to have their say when it comes to selecting the shepherds of the church."
The event will be held at Ferrante's Lakeview Lounge in Greensburg. It begins at noon, with lunch at 12:30 p.m. and Mr. Cafardi's presentation at 1:15 p.m. The cost is $20. To register, call Tom Niggel at 724-834-4817. More information is at greensburgsnext bishop.org.
