A 62-year-old piano repairman at a Beaver County charter school was arrested after allegedly using the school's Internet to attempt to solicit sex from a minor, KDKA reported.
Chief John Hartman of the Southwest Regional Police told the station that Theodore Mamel, of Export, thought he was talking to a 14-year-old girl.
Police say Mr. Mamel took out an ad on Craigslist seeking girls who wanted to try taboo sex, saying that age was no barrier. That drew the attention of officers who began communicating with him.
Mr. Mamel also used Wi-Fi connections at area businesses like Lowe’s and McDonald’s, thinking he couldn’t be traced, and sent pornographic pictures, KDKA reported.
Mr. Mamel worked at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland.
