Two Westmoreland county men were arraigned Tuesday on charges that they vandalized part of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail Bridge near Somerset on Aug. 30, causing more than $5,000 in damage, according to the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

A ranger at the Laurel Hill State Park Complex said James Cameron, 25, and Jacob W. Bradshaw, 26, both of Stahlstown knocked down and drove over a gate on the northern side of the bridge that crosses the Turnpike and hit a large section of fence on the southern side.
