Ambridge — St. John the Baptist Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, 450 Glenwood Drive, will hold its annual Rusyn Food Festival from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today through Saturday. Information: 724-266-2879 or 412-749-0675.

Carnegie — St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Parish, 330 Third Ave., will hold its annual Summerfest, featuring live music, ethnic goods, games and more, from 5 to 10 p.m. tonight and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Information: 412-276-1011.


Green Tree — The borough will sponsor Pre-Teen Night from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Friday at the Wilson Park Pool. Information: 412-921-1110.


Moon — The Moon Township Public Library, Suite 100, 1700 Beaver Grade Road, will sponsor the following. Registration: 412-269-0334.

• Science Fiction Showcase: Dystopian Double Feature from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. The movies “The Hunger Games” and “Divergent” will be shown.

• Photo Finish Scavenger Hunt, through Aug. 17. Deadline: 3 p.m. Aug. 16.


Center — Job Training for Beaver County Inc. will conduct an on-the-job training informational session for Beaver County dislocated workers at 1 p.m. Wednesday at PA CareerLink® Beaver County, Beaver Valley Mall, off Route 18. Registration: 724-728-4860, ext. 204.


Moon — The adult department of the Moon Township Public Library, Suite 100, 1700 Beaver Grade Road, will sponsor “The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly: A Guide to Reading” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Information: 412-269-0334.


Moon — The Women’s Interest Network of the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce will present a “Women in Elective Office” panel and luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Thursday at the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport, 8402 University Blvd. Featured speakers will be Chelsa Wagner, Allegheny County controller and former state representative from Beechview; Mary P. Murray,Magisterial District judge for Neville Island, Coraopolis, Moon and Crescent; Findlay supervisor Janet Craig; and Dana Brown, executive director of the Pennsylvania Center for Women and Politics at Chatham University. Carnegie — Continuum Dance Theater will present the world premiere of “Empire” at 8 p.m. tonight through Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at Off the Wall Theater, 25 W. Carnegie — The Carnegie Community Development Corp. will sponsor a Carnegie Crawl through the business district from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday. Information: 412-279-5456.


Heidelberg — The borough will sponsor a fishing derby Saturday along Chartiers Creek in Heidelberg Park, 600 Industry Way. Registration will open at 8 a.m., with awards to be announced at noon. The cost is $5, $3 for children. Information: 412-276-0363.


Green Tree — The borough will sponsor a summer catered lunch picnic and raffles from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Sycamore Room of the Green Tree Municipal Center, 10 W. Manilla Ave. The cost is $5, free for residents. Registration: 412-921-1110.


Carnegie — LifeSpan’s Chartiers Senior Resource Center will be hosting a Casino Hop to the Rivers Casino, Mountaineer Park and the Meadows on Sept. 21 and 22. Bus will leave the Chartiers Senior Center, 300 Lincoln Ave., at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 21. Cost for the trip is $112 per person/double occupancy, single rate slightly higher. Registration: 412-276-5056.


Center — Job Training for Beaver County Inc. will begin an Entrepreneurship Education for Potential Business Owners workshop series for low- to moderate-income Beaver County residents from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays and Wednesdays from Monday to Sept. 10 at PA CareerLink Beaver County, Beaver Valley Mall, off Route 18.
