Moon Community Access Television will offer a free four-week television production training course for individuals with an interest in the electronic media.

Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays starting Aug. 13 in the MCA-TV studio, 1700 Beaver Grade Road. The final day of the course will be Sept. 10.

Participants must complete all four classes to become a volunteer. The class is open to residents of Moon and surrounding communities looking to advance their knowledge of studio, camera, audio and technical training.

Completion of the course will enable individuals to be a MCA-TV volunteer with camera and studio equipment privileges. Individuals also will have the opportunity to be a part of shows produced for and aired on MCA-TV.

Moon residents who complete the course can become a community producer and provide original and entertainment productions for MCA-TV.

Several MCA-TV original shows have won national and state-wide awards including “The Doctor Is In”, produced by Dr. Marc Schneiderman, and “Soak it Up: A Storm Water Documentary.”
