There are about 150 Verizon customers currently without landline phone service in Carnegie, according to an Allegheny County news release.

The outage is affecting residents near the 200 block of Main Street in the borough.

Customers in the outage area cannot call outside lines, including 911 emergency services, the county said.

Verizon has no estimated time frame for service restoration, but it is a prioritized issue for the company, the county said.

Customers who are affected should use a cell phone for emergency calls, or use the phone of a neighbor who does not have Verizon service, the county said.
