The human remains discovered Wednesday in Beaver County have been identified as those of a missing Hopewell man.

Kevin Cromer, of Hopewell, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Beaver County Coroner Teri Tatalovich-Rossi said.

Mr. Cromer was 31 when he was reported missing in June 2011. His remains were identified using dental records.

Passers-by found his remains around 6 p.m. Wednesday on a wooded hillside near Bocktown Road.
