A Tibetan religious leader plans a series of talks on helping dying people — and their caregivers — face death.

The “Being with Death and Dying” workshop will be held today and Saturday at Robert Morris University’s Sewall Conference Center in Moon. Three more advanced workshops will be held through next year.

The workshop deals with the question of “how can we become a compassionate friend and how can we become a spiritual friend to a person who is dying,” said Tempa Dukte Lama, who will be giving the talks.

The program runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The cost ranges from $130 to $170.
