Three men have been charged with arson and criminal conspiracy in connection with a Beaver County barn fire last month.

Jerry McElhaney, 19, of Hookstown; Ricky Knight, 22, of Georgetown; and Zachery Chenevert, 18, of Pittsburgh surrendered to state police at a district court in Aliquippa, where they were arraigned on the charges.

The Feb. 1 fire destroyed a vacant barn in Greene Township belonging to First Energy Corporation, based in Akron, Ohio. It caused an estimated $120,000 in damage.

The men were released on their own recognizance. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 13 at Beaver County Central Court.
