Oakdale officials, private property owners and Allegheny County representatives gathered at the Oakdale council meeting tonight to discuss recurring flooding problems at the Seminary Avenue business plaza.

Borough attorney Vince Tucceri said all the parties share responsibility for controlling stormwater and recommended engineers cooperate to develop a plan of action.

"This may be the first time where we've had everybody together willing to work together to a common solution," he said.

Meeting attendees included plaza owner Leon Chiri, a lawyer for adjacent landowner Tom Robinson, Allegheny County Councilman Mike Finnerty and a technician for the Allegheny County Conservation District.

The business plaza includes a bank, a restaurant/bar, a dog groomer and space that's being developed into a convenience store.
