Robinson commissioners voted 5-0 Monday night to approve a revised budget that adds two full-time public works employees and a proposed Community Activities Director position.

To free up money for the additional employees, the capital purchases fund was reduced by $190,000, and the earmark for construction of a stage at Burkett Park was decreased by $26,900 because the project will be delayed a year.

Manager Jeff Silka said some spending has shifted to different funds, but the $12,461,723 in total expenses and the 2.6-mill property tax rate are the same figures initially adopted in December.

The board had voted in January to reopen the 2014 budget so newly seated members could review it.
