The trial of three men accused of killing a Slippery Rock student at his parents’ home last year ended abruptly Tuesday, shortly after it started.

A female juror passed out when she saw a photograph of the crime scene containing blood droplets, and another juror also realized she had knowledge of one of the defendants.

Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Philip A. Ignelzi dismissed the panel and ordered that the parties pick a new jury today, with openings to begin Thursday.

Devele Reid, 24, Brandon Lind, 19 and Jon Lee,17, are charged in the shooting death of Jordan Coyner, 20, who was killed June 18, 2012, at his parents’ home in Kennedy.

Police said Coyner was selling marijuana and that the defendants targeted him to rob him.
