Two people have been transported to a local hospital following a explosion that demolished one home and sparked a fire in another in Moon.

Moon police confirmed that the pair was injured in an explosion at a home in the 1600 block of Charlton Heights Road. According to KDKA-TV, a man who was inside the home during the explosion and a man inside the neighboring home suffered injuries. The victims' conditions and the cause of the explosion were not immediately available.

The blast comes one day after a house exploded in Follansbee, W.Va., killing an 11-year-old girl inside and injuring two of her relatives. Officials said that Friday morning blast was likely caused by a natural gas leak. That explosion is still under investigation.
