CLASSES

Center -- The continuing education office of Penn State University in conjunction with the Shale Training and Education Center at Penn College will offer the following courses at Penn State Beaver campus, 100 University Drive. Registration: 724-773-3700.

• Shale Exploration, Development & Production Overview, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25. Cost: $279. Deadline: Tuesday.

• PEC Basic SafeGulf/SafeLand orientation course, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. June 27. Deadline: next Thursday.

LECTURES/SEMINARS

Moon -- The Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce will present a panel discussion, "A 360 degrees Look At The Affordable Care Act," from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport, 8256 University Blvd., as part of its 2013 Breakfast Briefing Series. Speakers will be Daniel H. Brooks, vice president of Community Health Services, Heritage Valley Health System; Carl Knoblock, district director of the Pittsburgh office of the Small Business Administration; and Manda Sanders, senior government affairs representative for Highmark.
