McKees Rocks is holding a food festival Saturday not only to celebrate its own vendors and restaurateurs but to welcome food trucks that face difficulties in Pittsburgh.

'FEASTival' will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the municipal parking lot.

The event was inspired by the problems food truck vendors have operating in Pittsburgh. Taris Vrcek, executive director of the McKees Rocks Community Development Corp., said he and his staff decided to invite them to join McKees Rocks restaurateurs for a spring festival.

The festival will include live music, artists and children's activities. At least 15 food vendors are expected.
