McDonald -- The Friends of the Heritage Public Library, 52 Fourth St., will hold a spring auction from Wednesday to May 7 with the drawings for all prizes and a bake sale to take place on that last day. Donations are requested. Information: 724-926-8400.

North Fayette -- Montours Presbyterian Church, 3151 Montour Church Road, will hold a soup and salad supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $8; $4 for ages 5 through 12. A ticket auction and bake sale also will be held. Takeout available. Information: 412-787-1050.

Rochester -- The Rochester Public Library, 252 Adams St., will sponsor a discussion of the book "Pearls of Wisdom: Quotations to Stimulate Your Mind, Heart and Soul" led by author Keith Adams at 7 p.m. Monday. A book signing to benefit the library will follow. Information: 724-774-7783.

Scott -- The Scott Township Public Library, 301 Lindsay Road, will sponsor the following programs. Information: 412-429-5380.

• "Get Crafty" craft session, 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

• Finishers, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Participants are invited to bring crafts.

• Book discussion, "The Paris Wife" by Paula McLain, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. next Thursday.

• "When Was That Song Popular," quiz, 3 to 4:30 p.m. next Thursday. Registration required.


Green Tree -- The Pittsburgh chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners will hold a NAWBO Day from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 22 at the DoubleTree Hotel, 101 DoubleTree Drive. Featured speaker is Susan Newman, founder of Broadcast Louder Workshops, whose topic is "Think Ginormous -- Let's Get It Started."
