An open house will be held Wednesday at the Community College of Beaver County at which representatives of four municipalities will present draft recommendations of a plan to clean up and reuse brownfields along the Ohio River.

Those communities -- Monaca, Midland, Aliquippa and Coraopolis -- in collaboration with the Ohio River Trail Council, have spent 18 months in a community planning process.

Among the speakers will be David R. Lloyd, director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization.

The open house is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 9103 of the Learning Resource Center at the college, 1 Campus Drive, Monaca.
