Three people were hurt, two seriously, in a one-car accident Saturday evening in North Fayette.

State police said Ruchelle M. Walker, 19, of Weirton, W.Va., lost control of her Honda Civic at 7:16 p.m. on rain-slicked Route 22. Police said she was traveling too fast for conditions.

Two passengers in the car were injured, as was Ms. Walker. They were identified as Sarah N. Kolar, 22, and Jonathan R. Beatty, 22, both of Weirton. Police described Ms. Kolar's injuries as major and Mr. Beatty's as minor.

The accident occurred as Ms. Walker was eastbound, hit the berm of the road, crashed into an embankment, then rolled over.

They were taken to UPMC Mercy where Ms. Walker was described by police as being in critical condition while Ms. Kolar was listed by police in serious condition. Mr. Beatty was treated and released.
