A 95-year-old man died Sunday night when a farm tractor he was driving rolled down a hillside on his property in Jefferson, Washington County.
The county coroner's office identified the man as Louis Kaposy. A friend, who was searching for Mr. Kaposy when he didn't return home from cutting grass, found him around 7 p.m., the coroner‘s office said.
A neighbor saw Mr. Kaposy driving the tractor and mowing at 3 p.m. State police said he lost control of the tractor at some point on Meadowcroft Road and went over the hillside.
He died at the scene. The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy.
