A Washington County woman was found dead in her burned-out Donora home early this morning, according to the county coroner.
Firefighters responding to a blaze at 1323 Fayette St. at 3 a.m. found 52-year-old Gelinda Giles on the second floor of the home. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:20 a.m., according to the coroner's office.
Ms. Gile's cause of death has not been announced, pending autopsy results. Her manner of death is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal from the Washington barracks.
Donora, New Eagle and Carroll fire departments, the Mon Valley EMS and the Donora police also responded to the fire.
