Authorities discovered more than $750,000 in stolen Marine Corps property at a Washington County army supply store, the district attorney there said today.

A search warrant had been executed at California Army Navy Store on Wednesday night, following an investigation handled by the Marine Corps, Naval Criminal Investigation Service and county detectives, District Attorney Eugene A. Vittone.

Cold weather clothing, uniforms, knives, tents, sleeping and systems helmets were recovered, he said.

"My hopes were to recover some of what was stolen but what we ultimately got was beyond my expectations," Mr. Vittone said in a statement.

The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending against the business owners, he said.
