Speed and alcohol are thought to have played a role in a single-car crash Tuesday night that killed a Claysville teen, state police said.
Sierra Minor, 16, was driving on Brush Run Road near the West Virginia line shortly before midnight when she lost control and slammed head-on into a tree, causing the sedan to flip over once, according to a press release from state police in the Washington barracks.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. Four passengers -- two 15-year-old girls, a 21-year-old man and another man whose date of birth state police did not know -- suffered serious to critical injuries and were not wearing seat belts, state police said.
Avella and West Middletown fire departments aided at the scene.mobilehome - breaking - neigh_west - neigh_washington
