A Venetia man who dealt drugs in the 1990s and was caught selling crack and powder cocaine and with 16 guns in his possession last year pleaded guilty Friday in U.S. District Court and could face at least 10 years in prison.

Francis Mario Tinsley, 36, is set to be sentenced Sept. 23 for possession and sale of more than an ounce of crack and being a felon in possession of firearms.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Katherine King said a confidential source bought two ounces of crack and nine ounces of powder cocaine from him in September. A search of two residences and a storage space revealed 16 guns that Tinsley said were his.

Tinsley was released pending sentencing. He runs Tinsley Transport, which carries vehicles for car dealers, according to court filings.
