Cal U students on alert after shots fired near campus

Police at California University of Pennsylvania urged students to use extra caution after a man fired shots into a home near campus early this morning.

University police said on their website that a bald white man wearing a white T-shirt fired into a home in the 100 block of Liberty Street about 2:45 a.m. No one was injured.

California Borough police are working with the university. No one has been arrested so far this evening.

Campus police urged students to "lock your doors and use caution when traveling on campus and in California Borough."
