A York County woman was killed in a motorcycle crash with a van in Henry, Fayette County Friday night.
State police said Kelly J. Oberdick-Palmer was thrown from the motorcycle and later pronounced dead at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
Ms. Oberdick-Palmer, 55, of Glenville, had been a passenger on a motorcycle being driven by Loren David Riebling, 49, also of Glenville. The two had been traveling north on Bruceton Road, Route 281 shortly after 5:30 p.m. when a van traveling south crossed into their lane and collided with the motorcycle, police said.
Mr. Riebling was also thrown from the motorcycle and airlifted to Ruby Memorial Hospital, police said. His condition was not available.
Both Mr. Riebling and Ms. Oberdick-Palmer were wearing helmets, police said.
The driver of the van, Ira Delbert Hammond, 44, of Confluence, was not injured in the incident, according to police.
Route 281 was closed for four hours following the incident.
