Alcohol, speed may have been factor in fatal Redstone crash

A Fayette County woman died after her SUV crashed into a parked pickup truck and the front porch of a home late Sunday in Redstone, state police said.

Alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash that killed driver Christy Moody, 29, of Uniontown, police said.

The wreck occurred about 11:30 p.m. on National Pike near the Brownsville Drive Inn, authorities said. Ms. Moody lost control of a Ford Escape, which rolled several times, before striking the a Chevrolet Silverado and the porch, police said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:42 a.m.
