Pennsylvania State Police arrested two Greene County residents Monday in connection with the January deaths of three West Virginians.

Samuel L. Spencer, 25, and Natasha L. Burns, 26, of Wind Ridge, are accused of killing Carmen McDougal, 55, Michael McDougal, 63, both of Littleton, W.Va., and Jimmy Kisner, 48, of Aleppo.

State police in West Virginia said the McDougals lived at the home on Cliff Run Road in Littleton, which caught fire Jan. 14. Investigators with the West Virginia fire marshal's office found the blaze to be suspicious.

Lt. Michael Baylous, public information officer with the West Virginia State Police, said today that the three victims were stabbed before the house was set ablaze.

"The house was burned in an attempt to cover up the crime," he said.

Mr. Spencer and Ms. Burns are each charged with three counts of first-degree murder and await extraditions hearings scheduled for Monday.
